From the beginning of being awarded your project, the Purchasing Department can begin purchasing your materials since the project has already been modeled in Tekla Structures. Tekla Structures is the 3D detailing program that provides the information on the type of materials required to build your project.

An advanced bill of materials can be imported into Fabtrol (our materials management software program) in advance of your project being detailed. This allows us to secure the best possible price for your materials which is a huge advantage given the unstable market of steel costs. We can have the material on hand in many cases before the project can be detailed allowing production to start manufacturing your project once it has been released from the Design Department.

These items from the advanced bill of materials are reserved and set aside so when your project reaches production it is ready and waiting or on its way well in advance. We have the ability to know when and where your materials were purchased, when they are expected to arrive and if they have been processed and shipped. Through the software programs we can have the assurance that the materials in your project get addressed and that they do not get overlooked.
