The Production Department processes and tracks all of the drawings for any given project once they are released from the Design Department. We have the ability to know when and where a specific drawing is during the fabrication and manufacturing phases through drawing management as well as a production schedule.

Prior to being released to the Production Department, our design team will detail a project in their Tekla Structures design program that upon completion supplies the Production Department with all of the assembly and part drawings. Their software also will give the Production Department all of the material types, sizes and lengths, CNC information as well as the type of finish required for each item.

Once all the information is approved and ready in the Design Department it is electronically imported into our Fabtrol software program. Fabtrol is a top of the line materials and drawing management software program that after the import supplies the Purchasing, Production and Shipping departments with all the information they need to process the project through a detailed list of materials and drawings.

The Production Department is responsible for taking the drawings and information and breaking them down in manageable packets. They pull out all the drawings and information that do not get run through our manufacturing facility and pass that information along to the Purchasing Department to be processed. Through Fabtrol the Production Department will nest the linear foot items into stock and purchasable materials. Cut lists will be generated so the material handlers know what needs to be pulled for your project and the machine operators know exactly what needs to be cut and at what length. The cut lists are matched up with part drawings, along with assembly drawings, which are then ready to be scheduled for production.

Plate items are nested with our Sigma Nest software that allows us to manage and nest all of the plate items. Once nested, the CNC information can be downloaded to our equipment for processing.

The production schedule keeps track of several projects at one time and allocates the personnel and equipment required to produce your project.

Our goal is to produce your project with the highest degree of quality as efficiently and effectively as possible.
