Ron began working for the company part-time and on-weekends when the company was founded in 1988. In 1996 he began working full-time for the business and has held several positions including: Field installation foreman, production manager, business manager, project superintendent, project manager, operations manager and contract administrator. Ron has been acting as Chief Operations Officer since the company incorporated in 2003 and enjoys the challenge associated with working in so many areas of the company. Outside of Structures Plus, Ron is an officer in the United States Air Force Auxiliary, the Civil Air Patrol. . The Civil Air Patrol provides inland Search and Rescue within the continental United States, supports federal counter-narcotics operations, performs homeland security missions, and supports disaster relief efforts. Since joining the USAF Aux in 2000, he has attained the rank of Captain and has been appointed Group Commander for California Wing. Ron is a rated mission pilot, participating in search and rescue missions and counter-narcotic missions for the Civil Air Patrol. He has received several commanders' commendations for his role as squadron commander and other ancillary duty positions. Ron has also been awarded the coveted 'Lifesaving Award' presented by the Air Force to recognize his contribution in saving a human life in performance of his duties as a mission pilot. Ron is also an active member of the Tulare Airport Support Group. The Tulare Airport Support Group is a coalition of airport users whose purpose is to inform and educate the community on the value of airport. Ron has been involved with the group since 2001. While not engaged with Structures Plus or Civil Air Patrol, Ron enjoys many outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing and occasionally hunting. He has a very active lifestyle and enjoys exercise at the local gym.
