Structures Plus Design Department has over 20 years experience in designing agriculture buildings and structural steel projects. We use the latest in 3D technology with state of the art equipment to design all of our projects.

All of our projects are designed with 3D software called Tekla Structures. This allows us to design a project exactly as would be installed in the field. This also makes for a greater degree of accuracy in fabrication and translates to less rework and modification in the field. Tekla Structures automatically creates all the fabrication shop drawings as well as the bill of materials for the complete project. Once completed, the model can then be published as a web page for viewing by engineers, architects or customers. Our design software also integrates with Fabtrol, our material management software, as well as our CNC controlled equipment in our fabrication facility. This integration eliminates the manual data entry necessary when translating a 2D drawing BOM ensuring greater accuracy of the design.

Eric White - Mike Porter - Antonio Ramirez

The Design Department consists of three individuals. Mike Porter is the supervisor for the department. He has been with Structures Plus for 10 years and has 13 years of experience in designing freestalls and milk barns for the dairy industry.

Antonio Ramirez has been a part of the Structures Plus Design Department for 5 years. He has over 10 years of experience in 3D CAD software, including 3D visualization, rendering and animation, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, and architecture.

Eric White has been with the Structures Plus Design Department for 3 years. He has 5 years of experience in different 3D design software, and has been in the dairy construction field for over 7 years.
